Certified Blog Entrepreneurship Course

The Ateneo de Manila University and DigitalFilipino.com are offering a Certified Blog Entrepreneurship Course the help “encourage the growth of professionals with expertise in this (blogging) field…”

There are three modules, the first of which begins on 16 October 2010.

Module 1: Blog Launch, Copywriting, and Basic Promotions (3 Weeks)

    Schedule:
    Lecture/Webinar – October 16, 2010
    One-on-One Consultation Day / Webinar – October 26, 2010 (optional)
    Project Presentation / Webinar – October 30, 2010
    Final Project Deadline – November 6, 2010
Venue at PLDT Convergent Technology Center Building, Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights Quezon City from 1 pm to 5 pm.

There are many ways to promote your blog. Given that you will also write as well as launch your blog, it will help if you form a team because you do want to protect yourself from info overload.

Module 2: Blog Marketing and Advertising (3 Weeks)

    Lecture/Webinar – November 6, 2010
    One-on-One Consultation Day / Webinar – November 12, 2010 (optional)
    Project Presentation / Webinar – November 19, 2010
    Final Project Deadline – November 26, 2010
Venue at PLDT Convergent Technology Center Building, Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights Quezon City from 1 pm to 5 pm.

This challenging module involves networking with other bloggers. You will need to find some kind of balance, lest you come across as someone who mainly wants to use bloggers. People skills (plus persuasion skills) will come in handy.

Module 3: Blog Monetization and Business (3 Weeks)

    Lecture/Webinar – November 27, 2010
    One-on-One Consultation Day / Webinar – December 4, 2010 (optional)
    Project Presentation / Webinar – December 11, 2010
    Final Project Deadline – December 18, 2010
Venue at PLDT Convergent Technology Center Building, Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights Quezon City from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Is it possible to earn money from a 3-week old blog? Or even a 9-week old blog? Yes, it is possible. Just remember that there may be an extensive marketing campaign behind it. Plus, of course, the help of other bloggers with more established blogs.

There’s a more affordable Online Learning Program (versus the Blended Full Program which combines face-to-face and online session). It would be interesting to find out how they intend to deliver the content online.
