Everywhere you go, you’ll always manage to find someone let loose phrases such as financial crisis, credit crunch, or financial meltdown. You’ll find not a few fearful folks who worry about the future. Well, one way of augmenting your income is to find out how to make money online today.
One way to do this is by blogging.
What exactly is blogging? Quite simply, it refers to easily publishing your thoughts, information, suggestions, or even stories online. You can use text, images, audio, and even video. This has helped produce terms such as podcasting (audio blogging), vlogging (video blogging), and even photo blogging.
The thing is, people surf the web every single day searching for answers to their questions, solutions to their problems, or simply entertainment to help fill up what would otherwise be a boring afternoon (or evening). These people need something. And the great thing is, you can help them.
Go on and simply start blogging. Yes, it’s that simple… Just go ahead and do it.
It does not matter if you have nothing to say (for now). Just head on over to Blogger.com or WordPress.com and sign-up for your free blog. Believe me, just the act of signing up for one of those free accounts is enough to get the gears in your mind spinning.
I have friends who’ve procrastinated for months (and even years), and who miraculously now have a blog. It’s amazing, they exclaim. And they often shake their heads wondering why they didn’t try this any sooner.
Whether it’s doing your homework, planning a date for someone you love, going on a diet, or even taking that cruise you’ve long dreamed about, the fact remains is that you need to start somewhere.
Now I could go on and on about how to actually get started with blogging. I could even post a few tutorials on this here page. But that would just be added reading for you, or even an excuse you can latch on to as you (again) procrastinate.
So I won’t. At least not on this page. I’ve already talked about free places where you can sign-up for a free blog. Go there now and just get started, okay?

Hi, I think I’m the perfect example for this. I don’t really understand yet how the myriad of technical minutae that go on under the hood of a typical blog (ie. google analytics, rss, etc), and yet here I am, publishing randomly careless thoughts online for everyone to browse. I don’t know where my blog is headed (its about cycling, travel, and adventure) but wherever it is, I hope I dont end up throwing away minutes and hours of my life by dedicating it to writing notes for what is basically, in my mind at least, a diary with an ego. I must admit that it is a lot of fun filling it up though!
Congratulations, Myles, for taking those first blogging steps. A lot of bloggers start that way, sharing random thoughts and experiences. It all begins with Content, and pretty soon Traffic follows, and once you have more visitors (i.e., 100 visitors per day), your blog can become profitable, too.
