Validation: The YouTube Video
Have you seen the YouTube video “Validation” by Hugh Newman? It tells the story of a young man who works by validating parking tickets. Only he gives new meaning to the word validation.
Or rather, he gives true meaning to that word.
Sometimes we find ourselves simply going through the motions of daily living, mistakenly thinking that people don’t notice. Or that people simply don’t see.
And then we are fortunate enough to discover that people do see, but are probably too shy to speak up. Or afraid that their act of kindness might be spurned or rejected. Or concerned that they might get laughed at, or even thrown to jail or something.

What happens when you try to make people smile, but can’t? You keep on trying… up to a certain point, that is.
Then you stop. And let nature or circumstances take their course.
Go watch the video. It’s worth it.
Then go out and make someone smile. Right now.

Powerful video. Thanks for sharing this one.
Thanks, Fitz!
Did you reach for the tissue?
I transcribed and sub-titled this in English for my ESL students, if you’re interested…
[From Viloria.net] Am interested!
Where is your sub-titled version?
