People are asking what the Tagalog (or Filipino) word nakawaglit means…
It can mean any of three things:
1. Forgot something. (nakalimutan)
2. Lost something. (nawala)
3. Hid something among a bunch of other things. (nakawagnit – not a typo)
In all three cases, the lost or forgotten thing is no longer visible.
You don’t usually hear the word nakawaglit in conversational Tagalog, but it helps to learn this especially if you’re taking up Filipino at the Grade School level. 😉
