Someone asks if you can find the Waling Waling orchid in Mt. Apo (the actual question was: Matatagpuan ba ang waling-waling sa bundok ng Apo?)
And the answer is: YES!
Well, that’s according to the Legend of the Waling-Waling:
…the Waling-waling orchid (Vanda sanderiana) is one of the symbols of the Davao Region, having been discovered in the foothills of Mount Apo by a scientific team commissioned by Sanders in 1882 (hence the scientific name Vanda sanderiana).
